We are in a very big astrological event with the partial solar eclipse in Aries, and was also the lunar eclipse last week in the same sign. We're in a Mercury retrograde and we also have Neptune entering Aries. The last time -Neptune was in Aries was in the 1800's. Neptune deals a lot with imagination, the spiritual realm, and all of the parts of our life that are collective memory, dreams. Neptune is the 8th octave of the Moon, so energy wise it's the waters of the Moon (of Cancer that is ruled by the Moon) but in a sublimated frequency. It's the mystery, everything that it foggy, something that has to do with all that you can't materialize. It rules Pisces and if you have Pisces people in your life you know how they many times manifest themselves as someone whose aura you cannot really catch, like slippery fish, they come up as boundless, true water bodies if not mysterious, as Neptune (and Jupiter) because also being a mutable sign (like Gemini, Virgo or Sagittarius) it's in their nature is to be in constant flow.

So since Neptune is entering Aries- the sign of courage, new beginnings, adventure, but also a fire sign, it's the ignition, the first fire that gives origin to light and gives energy in it's primordial form, the spark of life. And everything that has to do with the collective unconscious is going to go through the themes o conflict, what we need as a collective to move forward, what are our beliefs and how we use and follow them to go forward and open ways. We can think of Ogum, the Warrior Orixá who represents strength, protection, victory but also steel and technology when using his sword Idá to cut through obstacles and open ways.

I feel it's a moment on which the imagination can be shaped just like the moment when steel is brought out of the fire and it's hot and maleable, full of possibility to be turned into a tool, a weapon, an accesory (think rings, amulets, wristbands). This is because of the almost shapeless nature of Neptune but also because of the eclipse, it really can be an opportunity to imagine a version of yourself you never knew but has always been there waiting for you.

Also our own dreams can really give us the drive to create our life. So if we connect to what is our dreams and beliefs connected to the common good in the collective, we can really move things in a way that closes the gap between the tangible and the intangible. The power of imagination that we have to open or close realms (just like Ogum's sword or the plant sanseveria is used to open and close spiritual works) and how by doing this we can influence our world. So I also see beliefs wars and belief conflicts, how idealism of people can make the resort to violence to assert dominance.

My perception is that with everything occurring during the eclipse many things we don't understand come up and may stir waves in our emotions but if we embrace them we can tap to our imaginations, sensitivity and creativity (because Aries is connected to creation the spark of life like a said, adventure or just a venture) in our inner or outer environment, we can really understand something very important about ourselves. Because when part of the sun is missing then it's showing something that was there all along but we didn't notice it because it was fully lit.

Therefore, it invites us to look at our core.

Who are we? And with the New Moon in Aries it's an invitiation to Start- asking: how can our wounds (or what created a void or feeling of something taken out of our lives) be a beggining for the uncovering of a fuel. If we think that fire, combustion is made by fuel and an igniting source, then we can think of this eclipse as petroleum and each of us finding out that we had these fossil sources of energy inside us. And they are very easily inflammable, but what if we can understand, the ways in which we can turn it, on, instead of letting ourselves be set ablaze by our own desires, our own instincts and impulses, how can we can learn to harness our own being from what we have been witnessing from the world and from ourselves?

So not to explode but to slowly burn and stay lit, using our own energy. Knowing that in every part of us, even the ones that we don't feel like they should be visible, because we have been conditioned, being told or shut down when we showed them before, can now be held.

Having hope in the parts of ourselves that we are afraid they abandon us, when they are always there waiting to be uncovered and we are the ones who might have abandoned them at some point in our lives.
